First up with the SQLite benchmark, FreeBSD was faster than Windows and Linux when using the ZFS file-system. As something pleasant to see, FreeBSD 12.0 did improve the performance compared to FreeBSD 11.2.

The Linux distributions tended to lead with their Golang performance while FreeBSD was on par with Windows in most of the sub-tests. At least FreeBSD 12.0 was tending to run faster than the previous 11.2 stable release.

In Java benchmarks, FreeBSD showed room for improvement. FreeBSD 12.0 was tending to perform better than FreeBSD 11.2, but it tended to perform slower than most of the other operating systems tested -- Windows Server included.
