First up was the ARES-6 browser benchmark, which did improve from Firefox 68 to 69 but didn't see any real performance change with the newly christened Firefox 70.

The Octane benchmark did see some very slight improvement with Firefox 70 but it was more prominent when running with WebRender enabled. However, these results were flat (or even a very minor regression) compared to the stock Firefox 68.2.0 performance.

Firefox 70 wasn't exciting for WebXPRT.

The performance with Basemark regressed slightly on Firefox 70 compared to Firefox 69.
