Our latest Intel Core i7 4770K "Haswell" Linux benchmarks come in the form of comparing the performance of Ubuntu 13.04, an Ubuntu 13.10 development snapshot, and Fedora 19.

From the same system with the Intel Core i7 4770K CPU, Intel DH87RL motherboard, 16GB of RAM, OCZ SSD, and the integrated Intel HD Graphics 4600 were the Ubuntu 13.04, Ubuntu 13.10 (daily ISO as of 19 June), and Fedora 19 KDE RC2 benchmarks. The stock packages/settings for each operating system were compared.

Phoronix benchmarks have already shown that Intel's Linux Haswell performance has already matured quite a bit and that Ubuntu 13.10 will be much faster for Haswell thanks to the newer kernel and other changes. With Fedora 19, a Mesa 9.2-devel snapshot is being shipped along with the Linux 3.9 kernel. With mesa 9.2 devel, the Linux 3.9 kernel, and GCC 4.8.1, Fedora 19 is in great shape for Intel Haswell customers.
