Embree benchmark with settings of Binary: Pathtracer ISPC, Model: Asian Dragon. Ubuntu - perf governor: EOY 2022 was the fastest.

In a few workloads like Embree where Ubuntu previously held more of a (rare) lead over Clear Linux, the Intel distribution has now closed the gap.

Intel Open Image Denoise benchmark with settings of Run: RT.hdr_alb_nrm.3840x2160. Ubuntu - perf governor: EOY 2022 was the fastest.

The Open Image Denoise performance is another area where Clear Linux has now closed the gap with Ubuntu.

SVT-AV1 benchmark with settings of Encoder Mode: Preset 12, Input: Bosphorus 4K. Clear Linux: EOY 2022 was the fastest.
SVT-AV1 benchmark with settings of Encoder Mode: Preset 13, Input: Bosphorus 4K. Clear Linux: EOY 2022 was the fastest.
Intel Open Image Denoise benchmark with settings of Run: RTLightmap.hdr.4096x4096. Ubuntu - perf governor: EOY 2022 was the fastest.

The SVT-AV1 video encode performance was slower on the upgraded software stack for both Linux distributions but with Clear Linux still maintaining the lead.

OpenVKL benchmark with settings of Benchmark: vklBenchmark ISPC. Clear Linux: EOY 2024 was the fastest.

Or in OpenVKL, Clear Linux at the end of 2024 is now faster than two years ago while Ubuntu is slower.
