Crucial P2 Performance On Ubuntu Linux - An Affordable 500GB NVMe SSD
The random read performance was the lowest on the P2 SSD of the drives tested.
The random write performance on the Crucial P2 did manage to come out ahead of the Corsair Force MP510.
The sequential read performance did come out ahead of the older Samsung 970/960 EVO drives. The PCI Express 4.0 Corsair Force MP600 meanwhile was dominating all of these benchmarks.
The sequential write performance, similar to the random write speed, was quite low but at least ahead of the MP510.
For around $60 USD the pricing isn't bad if wanting a 500GB NVMe SSD and will still be a large upgrade over using a Serial ATA HDD or SSD, but that there are much faster solid-state drives around if your budget allows. Find more benchmarks on OpenBenchmarking.org.
