Corsair Vengeance 12GB DDR3-1600MHz
For this quick review, benchmarking of the Corsair Vengeance 12GB kit happened from an Intel Core i7 990X "Gulftown" system with an MSI X58M (Intel X58 chipset) motherboard. For simplicity, the Corsair Vengeance 12GB kit was compared to the 3GB CSX DDR3-1600MHz kit that was previously reviewed on Phoronix. Again, these numbers are mostly being put out there for reference and just comparing with the stock/XMP settings and through the Phoronix Test Suite and OpenBenchmarking.org you're able to see how your system compares to these results. Elsewhere you can find reviews on this product with overclocking and other memory tweaking. This system was running an Ubuntu 13.04 snapshot with the Linux 3.8 kernel.
For the yet-to-be-announced Phoronix project, I ended up buying three of these Corsair Vengeance kits so far and they have all been working fine for a number of weeks. Besides showing off the performance relative to the lower-capacity CSX memory kit, some of the benchmarks also illustrate Phoronix Test Suite test profiles for reference where greater memory usage is stressed.
You can compare your own system's performance to the results about to be shown by simply running phoronix-test-suite benchmark 1303255-FO-INTELCORE19.
