With MySQL/MariaDB running on the Ryzen 9 3900X + Force MP600, the performance was well past the Optane 900p and other storage devices benchmarked.

But in the case of PostgreSQL, the Optane 900p still came out faster than the MP600 on Linux.

When looking at the geometric mean for all of the benchmarks, the Corsair Force MP600 came out 17% faster than the Intel Optane 900p 280GB NVMe SSD. The MP600 2TB costs around $450 USD while the Optane 900p 280GB costs $250 USD, but there is also the nearly four times greater storage capacity with the Corsair SSD. Compared to the Samsung 970 PRO 512GB NVMe SSD, the MP600 was 99% faster in these Linux storage benchmarks.

Overall the Corsair Force MP600 NVMe SSD shows a lot of potential for PCI Express 4.0 storage and we certainly look forward to seeing more PCIe 4.0 solid-state drives over the months ahead.
