Corsair Force MP500 240GB M.2 SSD On Linux
With SQLite we've long seen abnormally low performance out of the Samsung 950 PRO SSD, so keep that in mind. With this Corsair Force MP500, its performance was much faster than the Crucial MX500 SATA 3.0 SSD but behind the Intel Optane 16GB device.
With random reads in FIO, the Corsair Force loses just behind the Intel Optane that does very well with its read performance but keep in mind it's very low capacity and intended for use as a block cache rather than as a SSD drive itself.
Meanwhile for random writes, the Corsair Force MP500 SSD was significantly faster than the few other solid-state drives used in this comparison.
For sequential reads, the Samsung 950 PRO SSD was faster than the Corsair Force.
But the Corsair Force was back on top with the sequential write performance.
