Intel's own OSPRay ray-tracing engine was enjoying significantly better performance and power efficiency with the AMD Ryzen AI 300 series compared to Lunar Lake and the other Intel laptops. OSPRay is one of the workloads able to make use of AVX-512 found with the Zen 5 SoCs. In some OSPray benchmarks the aging Tigerlake laptop was even faster thanks to that older core having AVX-512 support.

Likewise with the Intel OSPRay Studio software package even the Tigerlake laptop was outperforming Lunar Lake thanks to the AVX-512 optimizations.

Lunar Lake advanced for power efficiency with the Coremark CPU benchmark but still came in short of the Ryzen AI Zenbook laptops.
