Cooler Master Cosmos S
Conclusion:
With the RC-1100 Cosmos S, Cooler Master has taken an already well-designed and award-winning chassis, the Cosmos 1000, and successfully pushed it to the next level. Some of the highlights include it being a very roomy chassis, effective cable management possibilities, aluminum construction, support for water cooling systems, and a touch-sensitive power switch. This "Sports" case is targeted at computer enthusiasts and gamers alike. We're pleased with the improvements made to the Cooler Master Cosmos S, but it isn't perfect. We feel that the Cosmos S could use a dedicated reset switch, some slight changes to the hard drive mounting area, and improvements for silencing this chassis. The aesthetics of the Cosmos S are designed for their target market -- gamers and enthusiasts -- but not all may be satisfied by its appearance. For instance, we still would prefer the sleeker-looking SilverStone Temjin TJ10, but that's just our preference. At the end of the day, the Cooler Master Cosmos S is a great improvement for the Cosmos family and is a chassis that most customers should be satisfied with if they are looking to construct a high-end system. Like the Cosmos 1000, the Cosmos S has also been awarded the Phoronix Editor's Choice Award.
The Cooler Master Cosmos S (RC-1100) will begin selling around the world in March with a price tag hovering around $250 USD.
