Clear Linux Rolling Out KDE Plasma Desktop Support, Plus Some Benchmarks Against GNOME Shell

Here are some quick OpenGL tests done out of curiosity with KDE Plasma vs. GNOME Shell on Clear Linux at this stage. As Clear's KDE support matures, I'll be back with more and a more diverse selection of games / test cases as well as GPUs under test. What also makes this quick round of tests interesting is it's the first time I have done a graphics performance benchmark comparison since the recent xorg-server 1.20 update.

With ET: Legacy that is letting RTCW: Enemy Territory live on as a modern open-source project, there was no real change in performance between KDE Plasma and GNOME Shell or under (X)Wayland.

With the OpenArena game there was noticeably better performance for the Intel UHD Graphics 630 under GNOME Shell -- and to a lesser extent GNOME Shell with a Wayland session -- but the RadeonSI performance with the RX 580 Polaris graphics card didn't see any real change.

With the Xonotic first person shooter open-source game there wasn't any measurable difference with the Radeon RX 580 but on the Intel graphics it was interesting to see each time the GNOME Shell Wayland performance was a few frames faster.
