CentOS Stream 10 vs. AlmaLinux 10 Beta vs. RHEL 10 Beta Performance Benchmarks
For those making use of WireGuard for secure networking purposes, CentOS Stream 10 was performing slightly better than RHEL 10 and AlmaLinux 10 betas that in turn were performing much better than RHEL 9.5.
For many of the tested workloads there wasn't much change compared to RHEL/AlmaLinux 10 beta releases, which is to be expected given that the software versions for the most part are quite close with CentOS Stream 10 being the upstream to RHEL 10. All three of these "EL 10" Linux distributions though continued performing much better than the Red Hat Enterprise Linux 9.5 stable release on this AMD EPYC 9005 series server.
Red Hat Enterprise Linux 10.0 / CentOS Stream 10 and its derivatives are performing very well in general over RHEL9 especially if you are planning to deploy to a server/workstation that is new within the past few years.
