With the Parboil OpenMP CUTCP benchmark, the 96 ARM cores with this ThunderX system yielded performance roughly comparable to the Core i7 7740X and slightly ahead of the Xeon Silver 4108.

Or with Rodinia LavaMD, this ThunderX test system was much faster than the Ryzen 7 1800X and in line with the performance offered by a Microsoft Azure E32s v3 cloud instance but behind an Amazon EC2 m4.10xlarge instance type.
