The ASRock ION 330HT-BD looks very close to its predecessor, the ION 330, except for the placement of a few ports being different on the rear of the computer and then the Blu-ray drive being installed into the newer model. The ports found on the ION 330HT-BD include the DC power input, S/PDIF, audio output, Gigabit Ethernet, six USB 2.0 ports, HDMI, VGA D-Sub, and this new model has picked up an eSATA port. Finding an external eSATA port on this nettop computer is quite handy and even if it is not too useful now it will certainly be more in the future.

The ASRock ION 330HT-BD can be opened up quite easily like the other ASRock nettop, but this model has room for a second hard drive to be installed and can then be optionally put into a RAID 0 or RAID 1 configuration.

The ASRock ION 330HT-BD like the ION 330 and other ASRock motherboards continues to use an American Megatrends Inc BIOS. This BIOS is similar to the other nettop and even allows the easy overclocking of the Intel Atom 330. From toggling a single option, the Atom 330 can be overclocked to the following choice of frequencies: 1700, 1800, 1900, 2000, and 2100 MHz. The DRAM frequencies, memory timings, onboard GPU clock, Vcore, VCCM, and chipset core voltage can all be tweaked as well for optimal performance. This BIOS does also support ASRock Instant Flash for the easy flashing / upgrading of the motherboard BIOS.
