ASRock Core 100HT NetTop

Starting with the PostMark disk benchmark, the ASRock ION 330 came out well behind the rest of the Intel Core i3 systems, which is to no surprise at all. However, the ASRock Core 100HT with its Intel Core i3 330M did come out ahead of the more powerful Intel Core i3 530 system. The Core i3 530 system was using an OCZ Vertex SSD, which did not perform as well on the EXT4 file-system as the nettop with its traditional Serial ATA HDD.

With Apache, to no surprise the Core i3 530 system was the frontrunner and still was a ways ahead of the overclocked Core 100HT system from ASRock, which in turn was multiple times faster than the earlier Atom-based ASRock computer.

The TTSIOD 3D Renderer results were similar to that of Apache.

Should you be interested in any ray-tracing tasks on your low-power computer, it is definitely better choosing one with an Intel Core i3 processor than to be running an Atom CPU.
