While the Radeon R9 Fury performance went up with the PowerPlay patches as shown in the previous article, it's still severely crippled on the open-source driver. The R9 Fury, a $550+ USD graphics card, is still noticeably slower than the Radeon R7 370.

The Radeon R9 285 at least is now performing well and on-par with the Radeon R9 290 Hawaii.

Hopefully AMD developers will have more Fury/Fiji performance optimizations for Linux 4.5 when the PowerPlay patches will also land.
