How AMDGPU With PowerPlay Compares To Other Radeon GPUs
While the Radeon R9 Fury performance went up with the PowerPlay patches as shown in the previous article, it's still severely crippled on the open-source driver. The R9 Fury, a $550+ USD graphics card, is still noticeably slower than the Radeon R7 370.
The Radeon R9 285 at least is now performing well and on-par with the Radeon R9 290 Hawaii.
Hopefully AMD developers will have more Fury/Fiji performance optimizations for Linux 4.5 when the PowerPlay patches will also land.
It looks like the Radeon R9 285 should be performing better as well.
