World of Padman is also seeing strange behavior for the Radeon HD 6950 Cayman where its performance effectively drops off a cliff using the Linux 3.3 kernel and newer.
For the Radeon HD 5770 with the newer DRM in the kernel, there is not much change, but at least the Radeon HD 6950 is faster.
It seems that for at least the Cayman GPUs on the very latest Linux kernels, there may be some unaddressed problems. Stay tuned for more benchmarks with an updated look at 2D color tiling and other areas.
