When upping the Warsow resolution to 1920 x 1080, the newest driver's performance did not plummet like in Nexuiz, but except for the Radeon X1950PRO it was barely faster than the Ubuntu 10.10 stock configuration. On average, the performance of this newest driver was just 13% faster while the Catalyst driver was 75% faster than this open-source driver.

The latest R300g results under OpenArena are also interesting for the Radeon X1800XL, X1800XT, and X1950PRO graphics cards. In fact, it provides a lot of hope for users when upgrading to Ubuntu 11.04 in just a few months. The Gallium3D driver with Linux 2.6.38 and Mesa 7.11-devel is 79% on average for these three R500 graphics cards than what is found in Ubuntu 10.10. The Catalyst driver here was just 33% faster.
