GpuTest was rare in that it exhibited no performance improvements for the Radeon DRM driver on the Linux 3.12 kernel. While GpuTest was unaffected, the real-world OpenGL games tested saw very nice performance improvements that were generally double-digit gains. After seeing these Radeon improvements, a new Catalyst vs. Gallium3D comparison is commencing this weekend from Linux 3.12 and Mesa 10.0 Git this weekend.

The official Linux 3.12 kernel will be out in a few weeks with the Radeon DRM improvements plus a lot of other new features.
