Previewing The Radeon DPM Performance On Linux 3.11
Overall, the Radeon Dynamic Power Management performance improvements for the AMD A10-6800K APU on the Linux 3.11 kernel are quite exciting. Coming up next on Phoronix will be Radeon DPM tests from a selection of discrete Radeon GPUs as well as looking at the performance-per-Watt and how the power consumption situation has changed, including updated figures against the AMD Catalyst Linux graphics driver. (For some reference with today's numbers, see the HD 8670D graphics with the R600 SB back-end and the Catalyst numbers for some perspective.) Additional test requests can be sent to @MichaelLarabel on Twitter. Supporting this lengthy and costly testing is appreciated by subscribing to Phoronix Premium or making a PayPal tip.
