For those curious how AMD's AM1 APUs are running with OpenCL workloads given the company's focus on HSA, here's a wide-range of OpenCL benchmarks from the four Athlon and Sempron AM1 APUs currently on the market while running Ubuntu 14.04 LTS.

From the Sempron 2650, Sempron 3850, Athlon 5150, and Athlon 5350 I have run a wide-range of Linux OpenCL benchmarks now that my testing has moved to the Catalyst Linux driver from the open-source RadeonSI Gallium3D driver... For more details see AMD Athlon's R3 Graphics: RadeonSI Gallium3D vs. Catalyst and Are AMD Athlon/Sempron APUs Fast Enough For Steam On Linux, Steam Machines? The Catalyst Linux driver is not only faster than the open-source driver but it also delivers workable OpenCL/GPGPU support where as the open-source driver's compute support is still being raised.

As a result, in this article is just a wide-range of OpenCL benchmarks being published for reference purposes if you are curious how the four AM1 Kabini APUs are performing -- both on the Jaguar CPU side and with the Radeon R3 Graphics side.

All benchmarking was handled via the Phoronix Test Suite. If you want to see how your own compute-enabled systems compare to these OpenCL AMD results on Ubuntu 14.04 x86_64 Linux, it's as easy as running phoronix-test-suite benchmark 1404161-KH-OPENCLAMD37.
