The Retbleed mitigation on Zen 1 has yielded a minor impact on the cryptsetup cryptography tests with the Linux kernel.

SQLite is another real-world example of an I/O performance impact from Retbleed.

The GIMP image manipulation program when dealing with opening and saving large image files can also see slower performance due to Retbleed if carrying out scripted modifications or lots of loads/saves but for normal imaging workflows, artists on Zen 1 would likely not notice a difference.

The same goes for other I/O involved tasks like OCRMyPDF for converting scanned PDFs to text or RawTherapee for dealing with large RAW images.
