AMD Ryzen 5 3400G Is Working Well On Linux
The Ryzen 5 3400G has a very nice showing under Linux for open-source graphics.
The Ryzen 5 3400G had a comparable average AC power draw to the Core i9 9900K during these integrated graphics benchmarks but a much higher peak power draw, though better than the previous-generation Raven Ridge 2400G.
The Radeon RX Vega 11 graphics certainly make this APU interesting especially with Picasso running nicer on Linux than the Raven Ridge woes. The Zen+ CPU performance is no longer interesting with Zen 2 wiping the floor, but for being a $150 USD part this APU is quite capable if you are primarily looking for good graphics capabilities where these new Ryzen 3000 series APUs are a much stronger offering than the likes of Intel UHD Graphics 630.
