The new Threadripper processors performed excellent with the proprietary V-RAY and IndigoBench renderers.

The new Threadripper parts also performed well with the Blender open-source modeling software. (Blender 2.81 benchmarks on these CPUs will be out soon.) Even the Threadripper 3960X was outperforming the 2990WX in Blender.

Rounding out the renderer tests, the new Threadripper processors performed well with Tungsten and Appleseed too. LuxCoreRender was the lone CPU rendering case where the Core i9 10980XE could actually compete with the Threadripper parts, but then again with this renderer the 3960X outperformed the 3970X.
