Geekbench 5 Pro users can run the updated benchmark via the Phoronix Test Suite. For curiosity sake, I did run Geekbench 5.0 on these server CPUs under test:

The Geekbench 5 multi-core performance of the Xeon Platinum 8280 was in line with that of the EPYC 7402, which at retail prices cost just a fifth of that Cascadelake processor.

With the Geekbench single-core performance the Intel Xeon Scalable CPUs led, to little surprise.

AMD EPYC 7302 / 7402 / 7502 / 7742 2P vs. Xeon Benchmarks
AMD EPYC 7302 / 7402 / 7502 / 7742 2P vs. Xeon Benchmarks

But it was interesting to note in many of the Geekbench single-core sub-tests, the EPYC processors were delivering comparable or better performance than the Intel Xeon processors.
