There were great power savings too with these 7900X3D/7950X3D processors when running this open-source scientific Fortran code too.

The GROMACS molecular dynamics software saw only slight raw performance advantages of these new X3D processors.

But when factoring in the performance-per-Watt is where these Ryzen 9 7900X3D/7950X3D processors became very compelling for GROMACS especially if you are using the software for extended periods of time.
