The ASKAP (Australian SKA Pathfinder0 benchmark for its convolutional resampling package in both OpenMP and MPI forms showed steady benefits for these 7900X3D/7950X3D processors.

The Ryzen 9 7900X3D/7950X3D also showed nice boosts to the Zstd data compression performance at higher compression levels, but the decompression results were flat. The benefits of the 3D V-Cache processors on Zstd compression performance may also vary depending upon the amount of data being compressed.
