Benchmarking Amazon EC2 Instances vs. Various Intel/AMD CPUs

Java continues to perform relatively much better on Intel CPUs with Ubuntu Linux than the current AMD CPUs.

Here are some single-threaded test results for reference, but chances are most of you running workloads in the cloud will be threaded workloads.
