Right out of the gate with the Paraview workstation visualization software, where we normally see Linux leading we now see the Alder Lake advantage in the hands of Windows 11...

In some cases Clear Linux and Fedora were faster than Windows 11 while Ubuntu was behind in some of them.

There was also another early, strange phenomenon of Windows 11 running well with Ubuntu/Fedora while Intel's performance-optimized Clear Linux and Ubuntu 21.10 with Linux 5.16 were running much slower. It ended up being a common theme unfortunately in these tests finding the Linux 5.16 kernel performance regressing compared to Linux 5.15 or 21.10's 5.13 stable kernel.

In some of the very heavy benchmark cases like NAMD, Linux did continue to lead on the Core i9 12900K across the board.
