Performance:

So does this OC Gear work with Linux? Well, unfortunately it doesn't work at this time. It was detected as a USB device with an iManufacturer and iProduct of ASUS OC GEAR and its reported vendor was Cypress Semiconductor Corp. A driver could be easily hacked to support the NVIDIA overclocking through using either NVClock or the NV-CONTROL extension with CoolBits, but it just isn't available right now. Though using CoolBits through nvidia-settings does work as expected.

After starting out at the 540/700MHz stock frequency, we immediately pushed it to 620MHz for its core and 880MHz for the memory frequency. With this core and memory clock everything ran great, but knowing the Qimonda HYB18H512321BF-10 memory can handle much more, we continued pushing the limits.
