ET: Quake Wars - ATI Performance
From these benchmarks and other tests we have conducted internally, the ATI Radeon HD 2900XT 512MB under Linux with the fglrx 8.42 driver has been running very well with Enemy Territory: Quake Wars. Even after enabling the anti-aliasing and anisotropic filtering features found in 8.42, the game still ran fine with all settings maxed. The Radeon X1950PRO and other R500 GPUs had also run very well. The Radeon HD 2600PRO 256MB results, however, are a bit disconcerting. With our settings, this $100 USD graphics card was barely playable with Enemy Territory: Quake Wars under Linux. However, once this support has matured in the fglrx driver we will hopefully see some additional performance optimizations.
