Moving onto the CPU benchmarks, the FFTW performance was slightly higher with Clear Linux that is likely in part due to its more aggressive CFLAGS/CXXFLAGS by default compared to the other Linux distributions.

While with the HMMer benchmark, Antergos was slightly faster.

With the Numpy Python benchmark, Clear Linux was much faster than the others due to its heavy optimizations while Solus 3 was surprisingly the slowest. Ubuntu 17.10 had a strong second place finish.

The results are much tighter in some workloads like John The Ripper and TTSIOD.
