Initial Benchmarks Of OpenBSD 6.4, DragonFlyBSD 5.3, FreeBSD vs. Linux
In some simple C-based benchmarks, Clear Linux tended to run the fastest while DragonFlyBSD was on the slower end of the spectrum. In some of these tests FreeBSD 12.0 Beta 2 was slower than FreeBSD 11.2, which might be explained if there are still some debug flags being shipped in the latest beta builds of FreeBSD 12.
DragonFlyBSD seems to run into a big performance bottleneck with 7-Zip while FreeBSD's Clang compiler stack failed to build this test.
DragonFlyBSD 5.2 managed to run the C-Ray multi-threaded ray-tracer the fastest.
