For the ParaView workstation visualization software, Windows 11 maintained a small lead over the various Ubuntu Linux combinations tested for this Ryzen 9 7950X desktop.

For the OpenJDK Java performance under both operating systems, Windows 11 with the H2 and Tradebeans DaCapo benchmarks were faster than both Ubuntu 22.04.1 and 22.10 except for when engaging the amd-pstate performance governor configuration was Linux then able to outrun the clean Windows 11 installation.
