Examination:

Unwrapping the Tagan TurboJet 1100W from the bubble wrap the power supply looks somewhat similar to the SilverStone Zeus series and others that offer a very simple exterior and leave all the magic on the interior. The TurboJet 1100W employs two 80mm fans -- one intake and one exhaust. At the rear of the power supply is the power connector and switch as well as the 80mm exhaust fan with chrome fan grill. On the side of the power supply is a label containing the power specifications for this power supply. Finally, at the opposite end of the power supply is the 80mm intake fan as well as the power cables.

Unfortunately, the TurboJet 1100W does not offer a modular cable design. Making up for the lack of a modular design are some very high quality cables. The main motherboard and graphics card cables on the TG1100-U95 are sleeved in a solid plastic over a metal mesh wrap. The remainder of the cables are sleeved in mesh and secured with heatshrink tubing. The Tagan 1100W power supply supports four PCI Express power connectors to support four graphics cards in a NVIDIA Quad SLI configuration or to power two of NVIDIA's new GeForce 8800GTX graphics cards. The Tagan power supply also provides a grounding cable, which is another nice feature to this product. Inside of the power supply are two large aluminum heatsinks.
