It can largely come down to the particular workload for how well the Linux vs. Windows performance compares, but like the testing on the Ryzen 9 5900X we were seeing more competitive results than we have seen in the past with earlier AMD (and Intel) CPUs and earlier versions of Windows while running many of the same tests. In some cases like with BLAS and the neural network chess engine LC0 there was more of an uplift still to find on Linux.

Windows had an occasional win while most of the time Ubuntu had a small but measurable lead.
