Running along the bottom edge of the motherboard is the front panel header, three USB 2.0 headers, Chipset fan connector, and BIOS chip. The expansion slots found on the DFI NF4 Ultra Infinity are two PCI Express x1, one PCI Express x16, and three traditional PCI slots. Generally, the PCI Express x16 interface is the top most expansion slot; however, with this DFI design there are two PCI Express x1 slots above the main graphics port. Filling the area between the end of the PCB and the expansion slot is the Realtek ALC655 6-channel audio codec, IEEE-1394 header, VIA VT6307 IEEE-1394 Firewire, and ITE IT8712 Super I/O controller.

At the rear of the motherboard are two PS/2 (keyboard & mouse), two S/PDIF RCA jacks, one parallel, one serial, one IEEE-1394, one RJ-45 10/100/1000 LAN, four USB 2.0, and three audio jacks. Although the DFI NF4 Ultra Infinity may not be as prominent as their other LAN Party products, the motherboard is certainly home to a wealth of features in addition to three USB 2.0 headers and IEEE-1394 Firewire support.
