For the HPC benchmarks with the likes of Rodinia, Parboil, NPB, and HPCG, the AMD CPUs came out with much stronger performance to little surprise given the Zen 2 core counts.

For imaging workloads with the likes of GraphicsMagick, RawTherapee, libjpeg-turbo tjbench, GIMP, and GEGL, the Core i9 10900K was faster than the 3900X but behind the 3950X.

Intel continues offering faster Java performance overall than AMD except for the particular Java workloads that are threaded well.

For linear algebra benchmarks with MT-DGEMM and AMG, the i9-10900K was situated between the 3900X and 3950X.

Similarly, for the machine learning benchmarks with Numpy, SciKit-Learn, Intel oneDNN / MKL-DNN, PlaidML, and LC0, the i9-10900K was about 3% faster than the 3900X but behind the 3950X.

For molecular dynamics workloads with NAMD, GROMACS, and CP2K, the Ryzen 9 3900 series dominates...
