Although AMD has an exceptional offering with their Turion 64 Mobile Technology, Intel's 32-bit Centrino Mobile Technology seems to offer the competitive edge when it comes to mobile computing for business solutions. Centrino not only optimizes the Pentium M processor performance for extended battery life, heat output, and Enhanced Intel SpeedStep Technology (EIST) but also combines integrated wireless LAN capabilities. With the Intel Dothan mobile core receiving a great deal of attention, partially due to its overclocking abilities when paired with such motherboards as the DFI 855GME-MGF, but also due to its speed of being a desktop replacement for mobile users. Curious about the Intel Pentium M (Dothan) with Intel Centrino Mobile Technology under Linux, we set out to test a Pentium M 750 (1.86GHz) with i915 Express Chipset and today we have our official results available for your viewing pleasure. The purpose of these results is to demonstrate the Intel mobile computing abilities in Linux when using the latest in hardware and software.
