For imaging workloads including Inkscape, G'MIC, GIMP, and GEGL, the 4500U/4700U were delivering comparable performance just behind the i7-9750H.

Intel's 12-thread processor allows for better uplift with the NAMD and GROMACS benchmarks, show you be wanting to run those workloads on laptops.

With Intel's growing oneAPI collection including Embree, Open Image Denoise, and OpenVKL, the Core i7 9750H had a significant lead over Renoir while the AMD parts were much stronger than the Core i7 Whiskey Lake.

The "productivity" workloads included were LibreOffice, Inkscape, GIMP, and GEGL.

For ray-tracing on the CPUs with C-RAY, POV-Ray, and YafaRay, the Ryzen 7 4700U won by a significant margin while the Ryzen 5 4500U performance was comparable to the 9750H.

Or if broadening that look to include other renderers as well like TTSIOD, LuxCore, and Smallpt, the Ryzen 7 4700U still leads over the i7-9750H.
