Intel Core i9 10980XE Linux Performance Benchmarks
In heavy multi-threaded workloads like John The Ripper, the Core i9 10980XE is competing with the likes of the Threadripper 2970WX, which in a few hours will be a generation-old Threadripper.
With the GraphicsMagick imaging benchmarks, the Core i9 10980XE still comes up short of the 2970WX due to it being a 16 core vs. 24 core race albeit at close price points.
In cases like MKL-DNN/DNNL for deep learning performance, the Core i9 10980XE can be much faster than Threadripper when using data types optimizes for AVX-512 (u8s8f32) but even with f32 was still a great deal faster due to Intel's software optimizations.
