Intel Core i9 10980XE Linux Performance Benchmarks

Over the two generation old Core i9 7980XE Skylake-X (due to unfortunately lacking any Core i9 9900 series), there is a decent improvement in performance offered by this Cascade Lake processor while keeping to the same core/thread counts. But it really depends upon the workload for how the i9-10980XE compares to AMD's Zen+ Threadripper CPUs.

It's nice seeing the Core i9 10980XE coming out ahead of the i9-7980XE even though Cascade Lake is another 14nm refinement, but there is the higher clock speeds as well as some of the hardware mitigations in place for recent security vulnerabilities.
