Libinput 1.0 Nears Release With Its First RC Now Out The Door

Red Hat's Peter Hutterer announced the first release candidate tonight, libinput 0.99.1. This release has just bug fixes and general improvements, ncluding a fix to allow natural scrolling for edge scrolling. The touchpad scrolling also now uses unaccelerated motion data for providing better behavior.
While Libinput 1.0 RC1 was just announced today, Peter is hoping to make the official 1.0 release happen next week. This will be a nice milestone for this input handling library being used throughout various open-source Wayland implementations, coming to Ubuntu's Mir, and can be used in an X.Org world through the xf86-input-libinput driver.
More details on tonight's libinput 1.0 release candidate via the release announcement.
