openSUSE Tumbleweed Offers Transactional Update Support, KDE Plasma 5.9 Lands

A change made in late January but only now crossing the openSUSE RSS Feed is a transactional update package. When enabling the transactional update support, they are atomic, the update does not impact the running system, there is no possibility of broken RPMs, can be rolled back gracefully, and support for rolling back to a previous release.
Tumbleweed's transactional updates require Btrfs be present on the file-system, due to its snapshotting support. The technical details on the transactional update support for openSUSE Tumbleweed can be found via this mailing list post. For now the option isn't enabled by default.
When it comes to package updates for Tumbleweed, KDE Plasma 5.9 has landed. Those wishing to enjoy the latest KDE Plasma release can now easily do so with Tumbleweed. Other recent changes include Linux 4.9 kernel updates, Flatpak 0.8, Wine 2.0, and systemd 232.
