The next Tumbleweed snapshot is shifting from using syslog to instead using systemd-journal for message logging. An advanced warning of this coming change was posted to news.opensuse.org.
The next openSUSE Tumbleweed snapshot will also be upgrading its GNOME desktop environment stack to using GNOME 3.16.
It was also revealed at the end of April is when openSUSE developers plan to drop KDE4 from the repository and transition to KDE Plasma 5 as the default KDE desktop environment.
