ToaruOS With Kernel Written From Scratch Is Still In Development

ToaruOS remains under development and has been since late 2011. The most recent Git commits were from 11 days ago according to their GitHub site. For those that don't remember the article from two years ago, the Toaru kernel provides a Unix-like environment with some similarities to Linux but is written from scratch.
GCC provides the compiler support on the OS, Mesa is available to provide its software OpenGL implementation, and many software has been ported over including Cairo, FreeType, Vim, Lua, SDL, and more. If you want to learn more about the still-in-development ToaruOS, visit their GitHub site and/or ToaruOS.org. The hardware support varies for ToaruOS but does appear to run fine within QEMU. Fun to see this hobbyist OS still being developed.
