The State Of Fedora Linux In 2015
Fedora's Flock conference started today with a keynote by Fedora Project Leader Matthew Miller. Miller's keynote was about the state of the Fedora Project.
Highlights from "The State of Fedora" this year include:
- Yum connection stats for Fedora 21 and 22 showing those releases being back up to the same level as seen during the Fedora 14 days.
- Fedora 22 appears to already have more users than Fedora 20.
- Fedora Workstation is commanding around 68% of the downloads while Fedora Server is coming in at 14% and Fedora Cloud at 4%. Only about 5% of the downloads are for Fedora KDE.
- Fedora 32-bit continues to be on the decline.
- Copr's popularity continues to rise for providing extra Fedora packages.
- Fedora 23 is turning out well.
