Shashlik 0.9 Released For Running Android Apps On Linux

Shashlik is the KDE-aligned project for running Android apps on Linux outside of a traditional Android environment. A new version of this open-source project is now available.

Shashlik launched at last year's KDE Akademy conference and has continued making progress since. Shashlik will run with common Android APK packages, but if the package has any native code, there must be x86 binary support. Installed Android APK applications can then be launched from your Linux desktop's menu and behave just like a conventional Linux GUI application. Shashlik has been tested to run games like Flappy Bird.
