Jolla Releases Sailfish OS 2.1, Adds Copy & Paste To The Browser

Sailfish OS 2.1 is now the latest release of this Finnish mobile phone operating system powered by Linux. It does add some new features, but nothing considered extraordinary by comparison to Android and iOS.
Sailfish OS 2.1 brings Qt 5.6 support, BlueZ 5 Bluetooth support, and basic work on 64-bit architecture support. There is also initial support for VPNs, improved camera application, and other improvements, like minor refinements to the user experience. This release also adds copy and paste text support in the Sailfish Browser.
Those interested in more details for Sailfish OS 2.1, which is now available in early access to Jolla devices, can read today's announcement. There are also the 2.1 release notes.
As mentioned yesterday, Jolla's CEO wrote about their plans for 2017, and they are still hoping to open-source Sailfish components around their UI and apps in the months ahead.
