Reiser4 Is Now Ready For Linux 4.13
For those wanting to use the Reiser4 file-system with the just-released Linux 4.13 kernel, patches are already available.
Less than one week after the release of the Linux 4.13 stable kernel, Edward Shishkin has already released an updated patch for the out-of-tree Reiser4 file-system for working with this new stable series.
Unlike recent Reiser4 patches that worked on new features, no changes are mentioned for this latest Reiser4 patch besides bringing it up to compatibility with the Linux 4.13 code-base.
The latest Reiser4 Linux kernel driver patches are available for download via SourceForge.
In recent years there hasn't been any measurable effort in trying to mainline this successor to the ReiserFS file-system and no major Linux software vendor has been backing this file-system.
